A Message From the Founder of Headstrong Nutrition, an OCD sufferer.

I was first diagnosed with OCD at 11, after I'd begun exhibiting behaviours like repetition, checking, counting, and excessive cleaning. I had become fixated on completing tasks an even number of times, and symmetry. My room was like a museum where nothing could be moved - if a friend came over and picked up a book or moved something an inch out of place I'd count the minutes until they left and I could move it back to where it 'belonged', without them there to ask me what I was doing.

As I got older, OCD made it hard to start or complete projects, because everything needed to be 'just right'. It took enjoyment away from what should have been carefree times and made the day-to-day tasks of life much more burdensome than they needed to be. It created a constant level of stress and nagging worry, a mental surveillance always scanning to see if everything was 'the way it should be'. This is no way to spend time in this short life.
